The road to Rio’s Olympics starts with first major international event in Varese for the first 2016 World Rowing Cup round. Just a few months after 2015 WRC II, Varese will be the goal of top rowers and scullers for 2016 WRC I.
Races will be from April 15 to 17, but many teams already landed in Italy and joined on the shore of the lake to train for the week end and go ahead with tests towards Rio.

This year 47 nations will be represented by 530 athletes, with 240 boats. The largest team is by far Italy with more than eighty athletes, followed by Poland, The Netherlands and Russia.
First race at 9:30 on friday 15…stay tuned.
